Dear Parent/Guardian/Staff,

Over the last few weeks, school communities across our nation have begun a serious re-evaluation of the security procedures in place to protect students and staff members.  In Ledyard, the school administration and the Ledyard Police Department have worked together to review and revise our security practices.

I would like to invite you to a School Security Presentation that will be made on Thursday, January 10, at 7 p.m. in Ledyard Middle School.  In conjunction with the Police Department, I plan to explain our current procedures, update the school community on some additional security measures we have recently implemented, and share our plans for future security upgrades.

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session to address any concerns you may have and to solicit suggestions for increased school safety.  I hope you will be able to join us for the presentation.  Having the entire school community understand our security measures will promote greater safety for everyone.
